Bellamy Young

Young started her profession as an actor in the theatre. The actress made her Broadway debut in 1997, playing Mary, the first cast in the musical The Life. The actress has performed off-Broadway in Stephensondheim's show Merrily We Roll Along (1994), and the show of Randy Newman, Faust (1995-1996). She made her debut on television in the year 1995. She had her role as the character Dr. Courtney Evans, NBC's daytime soap show Another World. In addition, she guest-starred in the show Law & Order in 1997 and 1998, in two different role. In 1999, she made her film debut in a tiny part in the crime drama Black and White and later joined the cast of several independent movies. Early in the 2000s, Young started to appear as an actor on assortment of television dramas as well as comedy series, like The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Young has appeared on over thirty TV shows from 2000 and 2011. Young was one of the main actors on Peacemakers, a USA Network television series that ran from 2003 to 2004. After the show ran for nine episodes in a season, the series was canceled. Her character was featured on the Lifetime show For the People, a show that focuses on the law. Atty. Agnes Hunt in 2002, on NBC historical drama American Dreams as Diane Shaw in 2003. She also appeared on the NBC soap opera Scrubs as Dr. Grace Miller in 2004 and as the Assistant State Attorney Monica West on CBS's CSI: Miami (2005-06), and on ABC Primetime soap series Dirty Sexy Money (2008-2009) as Ellen Darling, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Darling family.
